With good sound and level design, Pavlov is a fantastic experience that players can have without spending a dime. With many guns to try, levels to explore, and multiplayer action, Pavlov Shack strikes the perfect balance between "realism" and "arcade action." The gunplay feels very satisfying, and the graphics are solid.
On Steam and the PSVR 2, Pavlov is a premium product. This free-to-play title is still in "beta" on the Oculus Quest marketplace, and it's not clear if it will stay that way due to its addictive gameplay. Those that are looking for a VR-based first-person-shooter that feels fun to play and offers both cooperative and multiplayer elements will want to check out Pavlov Shack. It's considered one of the better Beat Saber-like releases out there and plays incredibly well for a browser-based title. Moon Rider was released back in 2020 and is available as a web-based program, meaning players with all types of headsets can hop into the release so long as they can access a web browser on their device. It also features a dedicated modding community that is dedicated to filling its libraries with as much as possible. The problem with this was that you have to do many of the paragliding missions in order to progress overall in the game.Beat Saber has seen massive success thanks to its fun and engaging rhythm-based gameplay that sees players slicing and dicing their way to the beat through their favorite songs. I really enjoyed the snowboarding, skiing, and the wingsuit flying, but to me, the paragliding felt really slow-paced and way less fun than the other three. Each one offers its own set of challenges for you to complete. Snowboarding, skiing, wingsuit flying, and paragliding. One of the cool (that was not meant to be a horrible pun, sorry) aspect of Steep is that it gives you four winter sports to play around with.
On the flip side of this, I am sure some people like that kind of thing, and they will wish that the XP you earned had a more “personal” touch to it. I liked this system as sometimes messing around with various stats and pieces of gear can get a little tiresome. The XP does not level you or your gear up, instead, the XP is used to unlock more areas of the world for you to do more stuff in. The idea of Steep is that you have a ton of different missions/objectives/races that you need to do in order to earn XP.
